The organization currently focuses on agriculture and livestock under the livelihood program with the community. The focus group is SHG Women and farmers. The have been engaging in livelihood for almost a year now. A. System of Rice Intensification- We interacted with SHG Women farmers who has recently did paddy cultivation through System of Rice Intensification method. The team has provided capacity building to women farmers through SeSTA’s youtube video on SRI. When asked about their experience, the group of farmers responded that the result of using SRI method shall be visible in the amount of production. This was the first time and they were anxious about using this method, thus, half the paddy is SRI method and half their traditional method. Prior toSRI, they have been beneficiary of scientific method of rearing goat and kitchen garden as well.
