Menstrual Health and Hygiene : ProgramIn partnership with Glad Bharat Foundation (GBF), AsHA Foundation implemented the Menstrual Health and Hygiene Program to support 3,000 women and girls (aged 13–49) across Kokrajhar district. The initiative focused on raising awareness, breaking taboos, and improving menstrual hygiene practices through educational sessions held in schools and villages. Safe spaces were created for open discussion, supported by surveys that assessed knowledge and addressed misconceptions. The program equipped participants with accurate information, practical skills, and access to menstrual hygiene resources—fostering dignity, health, and empowerment. This effort marks a key step toward gender equity and long-term community well-being. AsHA extended its menstrual health awareness efforts through virtual platforms, reaching participants across 6 states in6 different languages. As part of this initiative, AsHA conducted specialized sessions for eVidyaloka assistant teachers, equipping them with accurate information and tools to further educate adolescent girls in their respective communities. These sessions not only addressed menstrual hygiene and common myths but also empowered educators to become advocates for menstrual health. The virtual mode enabled wider outreach, localized learning, and sustainable impact through trained community-based facilitators.
